Scales and Tails Pet Care, LLC Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Scales and Tails Pet Care, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By using our services, you agree to these terms and conditions ("Terms of Service"). 

2. Services

We provide pet care services, including pet sitting, feeding, medicating, socializing, and walking, subject to availability.

3. Eligibility

Clients must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract. 

4. Booking and Payment

Services must be booked in advance. Payment is due 24 hours after service completion for pet sitting. Payment is due immediately after service completion for single walks and check-ins. For overnight bookings and bookings longer than 7 days, a deposit of one day's and one night’s service is required per 7 days of service. Accepted payment methods are listed on your invoice. Late payments may result in cancellation of future bookings. Failure to pay may result in legal action.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

For pet sitting, cancellations need to be made 14 days in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations within these time frames of the service will incur a fee equal to one day and one night, where applicable, of service per 7 days booked. No refunds for services rendered. For walks, cancellation fee is only applicable if travel time was spent before contact about cancellation was made. This fee is on a case by case basis.

6. Pet Health and Safety

Please provide accurate and updated information about your pet's health. We may refuse service if a pet poses a health or safety risk. 

7. Liability

We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage to your pet or property unless due to our gross negligence.

8. Emergency Care

In emergencies, we will attempt to contact you and any emergency contacts provided. If unreachable, we will seek veterinary care at your expense.

9. Confidentiality

We will not disclose your personal information without consent, except as required by law. We may use your pet’s images for social media posts, with no identifying information of you or your home. For concerns or to opt out of this, please contact us at the email address or phone number below.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Illinois law. Disputes will be resolved in Illinois courts.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and are effective upon posting.
